Unilever, a multinational consumer goods company, was eager to roll out a D2C platform consisting of products from all of the Company’s brands. Their initial goal was to pilot the platform by offering personnel a place to purchase Unilever products without going through third-party retailers, with the best discounts and offers.
With Shopify as the main technology, we delivered a highly customized solution following Shopify’s best practices in functionality, performance and flexibility — including OTP-based eligibility via corporate email, a resilient fulfillment integration layer on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Functions, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Firestore), and support for multiple merchant accounts within a single store.
